iu am so confused on what to do about fuel managament. i do have all the part for my turbo yet. not even close. no idea what injectors for my ecotec. i read a little on megasquirt and it is making my head hurt and my ADD is making my mind go bye bye. pleas help me. ahah
well since I was in your same position a while back I figure ill help you if you help some one else down the road. ok this is how it breaks down(someone will probably have already posted some of this)
for starters you need to plan it all out. what are your goals what do you want to do for the car. more expensive is not always the best. now if you have the money probably the best way to go is the hahn portfueler. you slap on the manifold and the injector controler and boom perfect AF thats been proven to something like 350 hp and 11.5 I think. but there are other ways you could go standalone ems I.E. mega squirt or e manage but those are hard to work with and require a laptop. there are smaller units you can get away with like a adujsatble FMU and piggyback I.e vortech and SAFC. you also have to worry about injectors look on ebay for some green tops there 42 lb I belive or retops no matter what you get your going to need the clips. They sometimes come with the injectors most of the time you have to go to the junkyard and rip them out. thats the basics of it and there is much more you can either PM me and ill try and help you out some more, or you can just start reasherching some more. I can atest that all the info is here. everything I know has been taught to me by this site. any thing I didnt know I asked. (that happened alot ask shifted and Deek jones)

thanks. my friend has green injector that he bought for his 2.2 (LN2) but he didn't know that the 2.2 fuel injectors are side flow not top. my other friend has some red injectors. i don't know if they will sell either. what are the clips you are talking about. i noticed that the ecotec injectors have a really longer fuel inet that others.
they hook up to the injectors then wire into your harness. ive got links if you need them. try ebay.

links would be good, ebay is hit or miss, because stuff changes daily
The green tops (42lb) will give you what you need and leave you with room to grow. You will need an AFPR to help your idle due to how large these injectors are(I used Accel #74566). I bought my injectors off of ebay from "blue oval industries" I believe. The clips you need to wire into the injector harness can be found on many Ford vehicles and many mechanics will probably have a few laying around that you can get for free or very cheap. Good luck with everything!
you could always go the ghetto fab route. running stock injectors w/ a 12:1 fmu...then hook up an NX fuel solenoid right before the throttle body, set it to open at WOT....then tune (by using different sized jets) on a dyno until you get the right air/fuel.
worked just fine for me.

so the injectors will just slide right in to the my 04 fuel rail. i heard that you need spacers. oh and the ones my friend ha are from a saab.
Ive been told by countless people that as soon as you get the clips its a direct replacement.

When I saw that I thought that this is by far the dumbest person I have ever seen.
Then I started thinking @!#$ that could work ghetto bould could work. I have never herad of any one doing that niice!!!

You could use a SAFC2 and a AFPR (for idle issues to be alleviated) to tune if you're not going to run high boost for a little while. I'll just run about 8psi until I can get new valves, replacement sleeves, pistons and rods. After that, I will buy Hahn Racecraft's Portfueler system and boost it up to 15 to 20 psi. Correct me if I'm wrong folks, but I think a SAFC2 and a AFPR should be good for low boost levels on a stock Eco motor, right? I see Hypsy running his at even higher boost on stock everything, but I want my transmission and motor to run at least to 100,000 miles.
I can't make up my freaking mind!!!!
a SAFC-2 and a AFPR, or one or the other.
ya call me getto too im using extra injectors on a psi switch and an adjustable fmu, it works the balls and doesent mess with normal driving tuning, I think the nitrous fuel solinoid is the best way to go to do it cheaper than mine cuz its fully adjustable and you can do direct port setups.

Both is a better idea ................. and an FMU too.......... best way to tune .... is all three ....

unless you go high boost you wont need one. by high I mean like 10+ its always nice (and safe ) but people have gotten away just fine with out a pump all youl need for low boost is inejectors and some way to tune the flow.

i would post the link, but it is on a site. and people little to do stuff went you post links
why not save up $ for a HAHN turbo kit? it has everything you need.
