I have a vortech with it and im running the 100psi kit with the sub 200hp injector, im not sure if thats helping or hurting me

I would like to know what that little screw on top the cooling mist pump does should it be turned all the way clockwise or counterclockwise for maximum water pressure?

i am running the cooling mist single stage set up . There is a kit on e bay now with tank for 200$. i have that one, and i recommend it.

i run the 200hp injector turned on at 4psi. i am going to go with the 300 hp one as i have to inject through the s/c. and plus another guy has that injector and his intake temps are lower then mine and he see's 10-11 psi outta the s/c.

need any ?S answered i will gladly help ya.

also i just hooked up a activation LED in my gauge pod, so it lights up when the system is on. And i hooked up a switch to turn the system on and off. Pretty simple stuff if you follow the directions/ read up on his site.

yup^ thats how i have mine hooked up , im thinking about hooking up the 150psi pump and a bigger injector but im not sure I might be flooding too much liquid into the motor

Could u post the link to hooking up an led light. Also, how important is it to get the 150psi pump vs 100?

its simple get an LED light it will have a postive and a negative, ground the negative, hook the postive onto the water pump positive wire, whenever the pump is activated by the relay so will your led light

Cool But how crucial is the 100 psi pump vs 150 psi?

Jake,
is the one you have the single stage 100 / 150 psi from their website. Also, for the extra 40 is the 1st stage deluxe worth it?

check out his website on the hook up diagrams. But a LED activation light you just have to run a wire to a 12V power source, and then to the NO3 por/tab thingyt on the boost switch.

i have the 100psi pump and it works fine. 150 will atomize(spelling) the "mist" a little more/ better. But i cant see it being worth it in our situtations.

I think the 200$ for the single stage with tank is the way to go. Then u can add on yourself a ON/off switch, and a activation light yourself. I am not sure what the deluxe stage comes with though. I wouldnt get it if i was to buy it over again.

I was thinking about getting a larger then 200hp injection, but last night i turned down the boost switch to activate the switch @ 2psi, wowzers. Car is pretty insane. I took some people for rides that rid in with when i first got the s/c set up and running and they were amazed on how much faster it was.

Personally I think that water or methanol injection, fine tuned, will be our best SC intercooler solution, inclusive almost more efective than a normal intercooler.

Friends another thing, take in account that pump power (psi) needs to maintain some relation to nozzle size. The worst case will be a pump of XX psi and big nozzle that produce bad atomization. Pressure of a pump can maintain a god atomization patern up to a XXX nozzle size. I think that should exist some kind of table or formula to calc this (like nitrous jet sizes tables), some thing like the way Coolingmist people is selling WI for XX HP.

Cool. But i was thinking of going the 216-300hp jet. I figure i should* be in the 220ish at crank with 2.7 pulley + mist.

Thanks for the help so far! Jake, when u say check out his website, who's are u referring to?

Thanks.

ive got the boost switch to turn on at 1lb.... i also have the 250- 300 HP injector... it dident cool enuf for me, so i drilled it out... now the charger is cold to the tutch...
but be warend.. that it will @!#$ up you TPS... i just got a new one and it fed up too, water is geting to it and freeking it out, im having to use a hair driyer to get the moister out, im thinking about puting some vassoleen on the TB, ( on the mounting boss side, ) to try to keep moisture out.... or drilling a small hole in it to make a controled vacuume leak to pull the watter out if it does make it in.

turn the pump clockwise ( down ) to incress pressher.

so the 216-300hp water injector (with coolmist kit) didn't cool it enough. How small is the hole on it? Anyhow.. what are other using out there!!

K. I was on crack. Coolmist ranges are:
1-215
216-360
360-500. So 216-360 should be more then adequate.

what about these guys? Seems promising, I just think they need to have a bigger tank, other than that, pretty good pricing and its good for alcohol too.

Hello,

Instead of going strictly on horsepower to find out your injector size, it is more accurate to go by your fuel injector size. Alcohol/Water Injection should be 10-15% of your maximum fuel flow, based on an 85-90% duty cycle of your fuel injectors. Here is an Excel spreadsheet that will do the math for you:

In answer to an earlier post in this topic, you screw in (clockwise) the allen screw on the pump to increase its pressure, and unscrew it to decrease it.

If you guys ever have any questions, please email me at greg@enginerunup.com.

Thanks,

Greg Guster

freakin' A! That engine run up kit looks mint.

Now.. i'm going to plug in the numbers into the spread sheet. But does anybody actually have experience in a j-body to know a good flow (gph) for injectors.

Also, whats are (z24 ld9 2k+ 330 s/c injectors) maxium duty cycle?

Cause when i just type in 330 in the injector size, its telling me all sorts of numbers that don't make much sense to me other then 2.8 GPH injector size.

help...?
