anyone with a boost automatic, 4t40e. Please do me a favor. Turn off your shiftplus and your autotrans interceptors for a few runs at WOT. Tell me if the trans slips between gears.

i can tell you i know mine would for sure
trans has over 100,000 on it , and has had a problem since i bought it , but its held up so far
My tranny slips a little going from 1st to 2nd. It has 116,000 miles on it and actually I've always had the slip between 1st and 2nd.
No problems yet and I'm not worried about it......

dont have to try this . Mine slips with it up to 100% lol. I told ya the 4t40e is crap . By the above posts I think my statements in the past are now justifiable wouldn't you think ?

Sorry to thread jack somewhat but is there a better tranny that can bolt up to the ECOTEC or are there any parts to "beef up" the 4t40e?
i dont believe the auto is crap, if you change the clutch packs it should be much better....
anyway, i didn't really feel any slipping, my tranny only has 32k on it though....
