is that possible. just maybe a safc to tune it. just want like 5-8psi.

so, does the afc raise fuel with the positive adjustments and lower it with the negative adjustments, or is it the other way around?

It's because the do-hickey wasn't installed on the right what-cha-ma-call-it, and now the round thing is borked. The oblong thing is probably FUBAR now and will need to be replaced with a square widget.

Well Stock injectors will Clip at a certain lbs/hr.... so if you electronically raise the fuel Via SAFC-2 all your doing is making the injector openings longer.... so it is possible..... not sure about 5 psi..... maybe 2 psi, 3 psi.. Not quite sure on that one !!

I'd say no way should you run more than 4. check me if i'm wrong, but the s-afc can only control your injectors based on rpm, NOT a pressure reading from a map sensor. If you had a setup where the injectors would run wide open when a map sensor sensed boost, that might work better. any more than 4 psi though, i would recommend a system with an auxillary fuel pump and fmu.

You are correct, the SAFC2 goes by intervals of RPMs, not pressure.

I believe your stock injectors can handle up to 5 psi fine but I wouldn't want to risk any higher.

If you're going to do a turbo setup, do it the correct way the first time and not risk anything in the process. Risking not enough fuel isn't something I would want to do.

you could use an FMU to increase based on pressure. and i have known people have tuned an FMU for 10 psi on stock internals and had NO problems.

I'm running 9 psi on Stock internals with a Cartech Adjustable FMU.... But I do have 30lbs injectors.............

if he raises his fuel pressure VIA an FMU like I have done....

Then he needs to get injectors...... he was asking about No fuel mods and JUST SAFC...

so it really has nothing to do with the FMU... SAFC-2 would have more to do with the injector openings and for how long they stay open for because you don't need to change the Injector Capablilities.............. Longer openings for a long period of time might burn out the injector...... afterall it is STOCK......

If you take a stock injector that is opening every 3.2ms and you tune SAFC-2 to make the injector stay open for 5.2ms you will recieve more fuel................ Without having to change the pressure..... the pressure is the same but the opening is increased...... More fuel......

No with just a S-AFC you can not run boost. Maybe a 1psi. The S-AFC (as already said works off RPM). It also has only about 7 adjustment (give or take). You woule need to be able to adjsut every RPM point to get fuel for boost. You will need at least a FMU, and with a S-AFC you would havea nice set-up. Stock injectors can run around 6-8psi depending.

so go find a cobra mustang and pull 30# injectors off one bank.

thanks guys.so i want to get a adjustable fmu or is there a certain ratio that would work best? injectors is something i really dont wanna get into. 6-8 psi will be fine.

Get a adjustbale FMU. You can never say this ratio will be best. A FMU with a turn knob will be best. 6-8 psi is never enough.

something around an 8:1. Go with a Vortech or Cartech, preferably Vortech.
