So a while back I posted about my 2200 that was getting a turbo kit finished up by the "trusty" RSM RACING ............... wow I was wrong to do that ................ it's been 3 months of wear and tear of the car and the parts THEY installed......... here is the out come ................
it was a mistake and I had to re do everything they did because they F**KED it up HUGE........... they almost blew my turbo ....telling me that an oil restrictor doesn't exist for my car .... turns out it's only $8..I had to get one cuz my turbo was passing oil into my exhaust... meaning that during the winter this year I gotta redo the seals on my BRAND NEW 3 month old turbo ....my oil return was leaking SINCE I GOT THE CAR BACK ...... there computer program was running my car lean during accel...........they ripped me off and held my car till I could save up enough to get it back .................... so I guess when you think about it, RSM caused me more problems and I had to redo everything INCLUDING TUNING myself
So tell me this my car is faster now because me (a 19 year old guy with no Computer telling my A/f ratios) took out there crappy reflash and got an FMU and tuned it myself on the street..........anyways so......
....................I took out there CRAPPY reflash ......... that does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Biggest mistake of my car modding life........... and because of this experience of THERE inexperience............. I will never back RSM and infact I will trash talk them because in the end they ended up cost me 900 CDN more in repairs of what they F%$#ed up .....................I feel like such a tool..... I paid the "Pros" to do something any dumb idiot could screw up in there home garage................
WORD TO THE WISE...................... there products only last 15 minutes.............. oh ya and now that is running right .......... It's safe to say that I'm the only 2200 that has been in there shop that has hit a 14 sec 1/4........... there s/ced 2200 can't .....................how disgraceful................
In closing........ RSM STINKS............

Not trying to stick up for RSM whatsoever because i have never believed in their "reflash" ability but why did you make all sorts of posts before this one praising thier work and their reflash if it was crap?

I didn't praise anything............. All I said is that I have a Superchager reflash .... That happens to be from RSM and I was running a turbo set up on it .......... NO praising believe me ..... Only a lot of cursing ................... If you only saw the stuff .......... you'd say the same ............ did you not read the post ............. that is all stuff I had them do and they F*$&ED UP HUGE............

yah rsm doesnt do turbo's i had my s/c kit installed by them and its running awesome. sorry to hear about ur bad luck, hope it all works out for yah
some people don't like to piece. they wanna buy and go. If he was willing to spend a lil more for all his parts to be there i can understand that. i have never belived in rsm's reflash. sounds like a crock of poop to me. it has all worked out fine after lots of my time and effort to keep it running nice............. I fixed everything they messed up on except the return, when they drilled the whole and put in the tap fitting they must have forgot to put in the rubber seal cuz she leaks nicely. As for the restrictor........ another week without it and I would have blown the seals on my turbo....... lucky saved by Joe at Race Tech Automotive.
IT runs really nice now with the Cartech Adjustable FMU................. 30 lbs injectors...... and a in tank walbro pump......................
except for my clutch.........

How many psi are you at ...... I left RSM with 7psi Nelson told me I have enough fuel on the injectors I bought to run 11 psi safely............. so Now I'm at 9 psi on stock internals...... running strong ....... minus my half blown stage 3 luk clutch..................

If u think about it their reflash is for their charger which puts out maybe 10 extra HP compared to a turbo setup which is closer to 50 HP.Thats the problem with their tune.
Thier.....program.....isnt.......for.......turbos..........DUH!...........

my friends ohv cav has had no problems with oil , and his line wasnt restricted , and the same with my turbo on my 2.4 , no restrictor and no problems
you ever think maybe you bought a bad turbo ?? or the oil drian back was to low in the pan causing the oil to back up ?
Or maybe his oil feed line is too big?
I do not see how they could just simply do a reflash made for a S/C car to use on a turbo car. On a turbo car, the boost will come in depending on the load and RPM of the motor. The boost will not always come on at the same RPMs. I bet that with their reflash, they just adjusted fuel by RPM, not by boost.

They don't advertise this service because they don't like to do custom tuning ...... it's just I was a lucky exception because I came to them with the money and the time and the committment to get the project done.... My car was there for 3 weeks I went to the shop 5 times in the 3 weeks to talk to them about small issues etc........... This tuning you can NEVER expect to get unless you live within 20 minutes of RSM like I do.................
It took me about 2 minutes to find those, i'm sure i could find more if i looked......

Hey Leeb, my car was at the shop while your dilema was being worked on! Your car was a disaster from day one! I can't belieive RSM even agreed to do your job.
First off, RSM does SC's, not turbo's. So thats your first problem. Second, it looked like you nickled and dimed your way on e-bay to buy all of those parts. You didn't buy a full turbo kit (ex hahn, hks, etc). I couldn't beleive my eyes when you came in to show them a picture on your lap top. You based the whole kit on some picture??
Where did that turbo even come from? And that intercooler hahaha.
There products on last 15 mins?? Interesting, because I've had their products on my cars, and friends cars for the last 5 years.
ATTN Everyone, from my observations as an RSM customer, this is NOT and RSM turbo kit job or an attempt to do a turbo car. This was RSM helping Leeb with HIS project. I seen this disaster that Leeb brought to the shop, so I don't blame RSM for playing hard ball with him one bit. Remember, on this forum you are only going to hear Leeb's crying. There is always two sides to the story.
p.s. Leeb, the only 2200 to do 14's in that shop?? Get a reality check my friend. And have fun at Race-tech. Joe loves guys like you!

gee that is odd cause i can run my cav with a s/c all the way to redline with no boost , so i guess my s/c isnt rpm dependant
I used a S/C reflash for my Turbo....... and it worked nicely.....
granted, it wasn't the RSM one.....

having seen RSM kit first hand today, I must say that they know their @!#$.
they know s/c's, and you're suprised your turbo ebay crap didn't work?
I think its time to go back to boost school.
hahahahhahahahahahahhahaha my turbo was from Garrett directly........... my intercooler................. it does the job ...... when RSM did my piping they "forgot" that I had a strut bar and put the piping is in the way now I have no strut bar cuz of stupid mistakes like that .......... my oil return ..... which they did is too high .............. and the feed line is too big because only at cold start up it smoked blue smoke like a bitch and the seals on my turbo are now shot...... this leads me to believe...... that the turbo was recieving too much oil during the high pressured start up ....... tell me this ..... why did I put a restrictor on and now no smoke in the morning ........... CUZ RSM F&$4ED UP and I had to fix it myself................
again if RSM can't do BASIC MECHANICAL STUFF THEY SUCK !!!!!!!! and in my opinion which is one of many whom told me RSM was a mistake........ THEY SUCK !!!!!!! none of you have see what wear and tear has done to there shabby work ....I would be scared to see one of there race cars...... the thing would probably blow up 3/4 the way down the 1/4....... and on top of it the piping they used for the cooler set up is RUSTING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they did a shi**y job it's that simple......

Sorry to hear your not getting what you expected.I hope some one from RSM will give us there side also.I have had great before and after sales service from the guys at RSM.It is hard to believe RSM would not do a great job and even harder to believe they would not try to fix something if they made a mistake. I hope you get things sorted out.
