nope

RSM is your only option for a super charger kit

or youll have to custom make something

Don't waste 3 grand to run 15s. I dont mean this negatively but unless you wanna dish out tons of money for minimal results I wouldn't do it. Your gonna s/c your car and still be slow compared to whats out there. Do a 2.4 or 2.2 eco swap and turbo or s/c that. You'll spend around the same amount of $$ and be 1.5 - 2 secs quicker.

if i get a 2.4 or a 2.2 eco that will cost a lot too, plus don't i have to change the transmision and and that stuff? i can just buy a Z24 or GT

pretty sure the tranny is the same but dont quote me on that. Seriously though for the amount of $$ you'll spend you'll regret it.

If anything turbo the motor and build the internals. A S/C is not the way to go on the 2.2

although you may be right about there being 'faster cars out there', that isn't always the point to be 'the fastest out there'.

Obviously he's aware of the capabilites of the 2.2. a 2.4 or 2.2eco will always make more power with the same amount of mods.

theres nothing wrong with being the underdog

I think the rsm kit is a waste of money too, but alas its his only option for supercharging his 2.2.

personally, turbo kits are much more reasonably priced. (or making your own)

All Im saying is that if hes expecting to be "quick" with 8psi its not going to happen. It takes alot of work to get teh 2.2 just to beat stock 15 second cars. So be the underdog all you want... if I boosted my car and ran 15s or even a high high 14 I would consider it quite a waste of money

If you swap over to a 2.4 or a 2.2 Eco you will need the motor, transmission, clutch, wiring harness, ecu, coolant hoses, and probably a few other little things.
If you want to keep your 2.2, I would say go turbo. You will probably spend around $2500 for a good turbo set up and will put down around 200hp @ 10psi versus the RSM kit that is listed for $3500 and probably puts down around 175hp @ 8psi.

275hp & 306tq - 1999 2.2 ohv
13.2 @ 108 mph
-1996 2.4 liter + Turbo + Built motor + Torco + More boost = Lots o' Power
-2000 Mustang GT + 2004 Cobra motor, Whipple 2.3 supercharger,
built rear-end,Dodge Viper spec T56 6 speed, bolt-ons = wheelies at the track!!!!!

honestly i think to turbo the car at a low psi would show better effects on stock internals.....although might not hold up as long
