I am about to install my SAFC-II and I need to know if I need to put a resistor before or after the egr simulator or does it even matter. thanks.

oh also I am going to try to go off the ny-jbodies.org guide to installing the SAFC-II. can someone clarify that this is the guide I need to go off of for my 96 2.4. I know that =OrangeZ= just posted up in install guide for the safc but it said from 97-98 pcms.
here is his guide
power = red wire goes to c19 pink
Tach- =Green wire goes to C10 white
Knock = purple wire goes to C33 Dark Blue
o2 sensor = Blue wire goes to C22 purple ( not nessisary )
TPS = Gray wire goes to C21 Dark Blue
Map to pcm = Yellow wire goes to C60 light green
Map for sensor = White wire goes to C60 light green
this is the only wire you need to cut in half basically, then connect the end thats going to the computer up to the yellow wire and the one thats hooked up to the map sensor will hook up to the white wire
Ground 1 = Brown wire goes to C64 closer to pcm
Ground 2 = Black wire goes to C64 1 inch or so away from Ground 1(brown wire)
dont cut this wire in half just splice into like all the others
if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great. I did do some searching but I didn't find exactly what I wanted to know.

mr pute might know
so u got that egr simulator to work nice on your car? i have funk'd with it for a long time and when hooked up my car runs like crap. tell me the seceret.
good luck.
yeah it doesn't run to bad, I just have it hooked up the way the instructions said to do. if I tap the throttle a buch of times in a row then it kind of sputters but nothing to bad. when I first put it on every time I hit the throttle it would sputter. then I heard some where that it helps to run higher octane with the egr simulator so I tried that and it really doesn't sputter at all now. so you might try that.

Think about it. Regardless of whether it's before or after the SAFC-II, it will be the same. The line you are trying to boost voltage with is the sensor output line. Regardless of where the voltage is introduced on the line, everything will see it.
Use your judgement. I find it best to install the resistor at the map sensor. From there, you can change it out for a different value very easily if you are experimenting with different resistors.
Hope that helps.
