1. Not that I know of, cavalier connection might be able to help you out though, but you're probably better off making your own.

2. I'm sure quite a few people have.

if you are running less than 10 psi, go pick up any side mount intercooler from a saab or a DSM. it works best for the J bodies if both end tanks are on the same side. Mount it and run piping, relocate your battery. it's not that difficult bro.

well i picked up the side mount intercooler for a eclipse but it doesn't look like it can flow as much as i need i was thinking of building a piping kit and installing two idetical eclipse intercoolers but i really wanted to do it in a better way.

do you recommend any places to get tube and pipe from for a good price

and i am going to need reducers for 3in to 2in and two y pipes at 3in

ok you definitely don't want to run twin intercoolers unless you have 2 banks, one turbo and intercooler for each bank. the DSM intercoolers flow quite well and I have seen DSM guys running 15 psi + through them with no troubles. Any exhaust shop can do piping for you, however I would recommend 2.5" piping for your intercooler piping. 2" is definitely too small. Trust me I just helped build a turbo kit for a honda last week and we did all the intercooler piping ourselves. When you really get down to the science of it... 2" will not work.

theres nuthing wrong with 2 inch piping....reconmedations is 21/4 or even 2.5 inch...but if you have limitations and is called for a smaller piping ...there is nuthing wrong with using 2 inch.

it just won't flow as much as is really needed...

I was never worried about running my 2.5" piping.

the only thing I found myself doing was grinding abit of the hole beside the battery tray.

Just enough so we could run 2 pipes thru that comfortably.

I think the 2.5" just leaves you with a lot more options for future upgrades.

as spotabee said, it flows much better then 2"

i went to a couple of muffler shops around my area all of them refuse to make the piping for it so i am going to have to go with the intercooler set up from cavalierextreme.com the only problem is it is 800 bucks but hopefully well spent cause my car needs to be running faster than it is. otherwise i would say this kit isn't that good

Just buy some mandrel bends from summmit. $14 each. Then get some silicone hose from ebay to connect them, and some T-bolt clamps from summit. Should cost you less than $100 and no welding required.

yup. and you could probably figure out a way to make a downpipe out of a j-bend

For the downpipe I am going to use a piece of flexpipe from autozone $4 and get the shape I need. Then take that to an exauast shop and have them bend it for me, and get it welded to my flange.

i don't see flex pipe being adequate for a downpipe honestly.

The flex pipe will just be a mold, exauast shop will copy the bends on steel pipe.

But anyways... you can defintaley get the intercooler pipes done for alot less than $800

what did they charge you for a front mount and piping? i am just curious what fmic and hard pipe kits are going for these days. because you could get a large Johnny Racecar and do your own piping for a couple hundred less I am almost positive.

which you could use that pipe kit for just about any turbo kit, as long as your manifold places the turbo in the same spot and your intercooler end tanks are right.

eh i am not gonna complain this way the only thing i have to do is make the hole next to the battery bigger to fit the 2.5 piping

but now i am gonna sell the tubing for the rsm kit with the vortec blow off on ebay when i get the new kit in. the blow off works great.

just relocate your battery and get the battery tray out. that'll save you a lot of room.
