any complications with the gm s/c on a pre 00

im in the market.....i really want that gm s/c ,but how complicated is it to install it on a 96 z24.. i've noticed that it was designed for the 00 and up. i do know also that there was a guy on here that had installed it on their pre00. what kind of issues would i run into as far as installing, reflashing, etc? or is it even worth it? if anyone can give me any advise on which route would be best for the application that i have it would be great..... thanks.(are there any kits out there that would be suitable for a 96 2.4?)

Hanzenrider's page. Check this page. It should cover everything you need to know.

I'm planning on eventually doing this on my 99. The 99 is by far the easiest of the pre-2Ks to do it on, since the 99 already has the smaller starter, and no EGR.

I'm pretty much going with Hanzen's exact setup. Except I'm hoping for an E-Manage, cause that's just cool... but it's $$$. As well as some kind of Water/Alky Injection to counter the heat soak. I'm trying to find this long post that I think Mr.Pute did about getting rid of the heat soak, but I can't find it.

You'll need a 99 PCM or get yours reflashed to a 99 so the computer won't trip a code because of the EGR, but I THINK an EGR simulator or something like that exists. That would work too. But Hanzen's page is dead on to what you need.
