Nice. what ifuel mods are you using? Just cuz it's a GA doesn't mean it ain't gonna haul ass. I'm VERY interested in what kind of problems you ran into with this project.

I've got a GA too, and the j-body crew has a plethora of useful info for us quad GA's. But yeah, not everything is laid out exactly like the j's.

Yo man, umm most problems have been like, downpipe fitting is totaly differnt cause i have the auto so its pretty tight fit, had 2 get it custom...and umm ALLL THE computer wiring is @!#$ man, like it says we use the same computer, but my 01 doesnt man its differnet i fired er up today, wow runs rich with my 370's in there, but ahh i got no RPM signal or TP for my emanage, and i clearly hooked it up 2 the proper wires using the wiring diagram for the 01 computer, so thats all differnt, the wires colors must cchange before they go into the computer, ANYWAYS so i have 2 run all my wires into the engine bay 2 get proper things, thats my project tomorrow...and HMMM anyone have problems with the Stand Alone wideband xd-1?....i hooked everything up and all i got was --- and i looked it up and it means its hooked up wrong, and im positive its right, i duno ill look at it tomorrow.....

ALSO i tried that resistor trick thing, and my car wouldnt start with the resistor on there, so i had 2 take it off...i wonder if i put it the other way will it work?(emanage guys)

anyways any help with emanage would be awesome, ANYONE with a basic tune just 2 see what imputs u have would be awesome., like what are your setings for boost clamp, acceleration map, injector maps ect...anything 2 help me get a baseline would be awesome..with the wideband not wrkin im sorta chappped BAHHh, haha anyways if anyone could show me a screenshot of there numbers on there injection or air flow, er anti engine stall ect.... that would be amazing thanks guys

nice setup! if you dont mind, could you post pics of how the charge pipes are routed on the passenger side? i'm in the process of trying to figure that out on my alero which has the same frame and everything as the GA.

Hey Derek, Why don't you just chunk that Greddy Emanage and go down to the local Pontiac House and just pay $130 for the GMTuning Reflash for 31# injectors and a different MAP sensor that is perfect for boost.

GM now has a boost reflash for all 00-02 2.4Ls automatic Aleros, Malibus, Grand Ams.

gmfreak - i think he was going to at one point, and was just going to use my part number for the reflash since i just got my S/C on but he decided not to.

You aren't in Washington state are you? I need to get on the GA forums and ask around to see who these two guys are riding around! SO much work done to them!

Anyone have the link to their forums?

Not even close to a clean setup, but I bet that f'in auto tranny gave you all kinds of space probems.

IMO you have too many couplers going on there.

Good luck and have fun with it!

hey man, when i ran my tach, i had to go to the computer and tap into the tach wire there. that was the only place i could find to put the wire. everything else i tried failed. im not sure which one now but if u have a chelton manuel, look in there it will tell you. what turbo r u running by the way? i posted a problem. if u could read and tell me what u think that would be awsome and i will try to find the wire color and number for u also.
Re: Turbo Grand Am Pics (almost done)

The TACH wire is a WHITE wire at the ECM located to the LEFT of the STEERING COLUMN in the Large harness covered with GREY tape heading out of the firewall. There will be at least 4 or 5 WHITE wires, you will need to test all these wires to find the right tach wire.

Hope that helps,

The database I use for wiring diagrams says its either the white or the purple/white wire @ the ECM or @ the ignition coil.
