Turbine housing - stages?

Do different stage turbine wheels require different turbine housings?

For example. Would a Garrett .48 turbine housing on a turbo with a stage 1 turbine wheel be a different size housing than a Garrett .48 turbine housing on a turbo with a stage 3 turbine wheel???

yes...there bigger wheels completely so will need a bigger outlet on the housing itself

Stage X really doesn't m ean anything because it is pretty much company specific to who is building the kit. What you need to do is find the trim of the wheel and match it to the trim of the housing or jsut buy in a pair if it is an option as well.. Personally, I opted for a P-trim wheel and .68 a/r P-trim T4 housing... big stuff.....

P trim is just another companys way of sorting out the turbine wheels ..like P-trim T-trim Q-trim or something like that...its the same as Stage 1 wheel ..stage 2 wheel..etc; not in that order...basicly is the same thing
