is it possible to put a blow off valve on the 2.0 s/c ecotec engine ???? please help???
and will it make any sound ??? i have heard a corrado g60 with a supercharger make a loud blow off valve noise between shifts and since i is supercharged i want to know if i could do thid to my 2.0 s/c ecotec i have a cobalt ss??? i know i shouldnt post here for it but on the other forums nobody knows jack @!#$ about anything please help me!!!!!!

Most newer cars don't use bovs becuase the computer has already adjusted the fuel mixture and if the air is dumped into the atmosphere, the air/fuel mixture will be off and will cause the car not to run like it should. A bypass valve's purpose is the same but it just dumps the air back into the intake track back on the non-pressurized side. I know on the 1.8ts for the VWs if you get a CAI the pssshhhh sound is a lot louder and they also turn the bypass valve opening towards the "front" of the intact track to make it even more noticeable. So you can have the sound with out the bov.
