Why is this in the interior forum?

Anyway, RSM ( http://www.rsmracing.com and http://www.highrevmotorsports.com ) have pre-made supercharger kits for all years of cavy's and sunfires. It really depends on what your goals are.

you should build up your internals before you go boost! Your car can only handle about 5-6psi of boost on stock internals.

More importantly, why the hell is it still here? One would think a mod would've caught it by now.

It depends. Do you have a 2.2 or 2.4 Brandon?

We offer turbo kits for 2.2L, 2.4L and Ecotec Cavaliers & Sunfires - your '97 included. The kits include everything you need: (Garrett) T3 turbo, header, down-pipe, charge pipe, (Bosch) blow off valve, (Tial) waste gate, (conical) air filter, hard water line, turbo oiling kit, vacuum lines and fittings, installation instructions and all mounting hardware required. The kits are true bolt-on installations requiring the usual hand tools (socket set, wrenches, pliers, etc.) and basic-level mechanical skills. The base kit is designed to run around 5 pounds of boost. The kit is capable of running higher boost levels but it may then be advisable to also use our optional fuel injectors, auxiliary fuel in-line pump, adjustable fuel pressure regulator and probably one of our intercoolers. In some cases, depending on engine type/condition and boost levels you want, it may also be necessary to install stronger pistons and rods - which we also offer.

5-6psi 10-12 psi Where the @!#$ are you people getting this from....try a lot more than that...SpeedRacerZ ran a 12.88 on 15psi and there are many people who have took a 2.4 to past 20 without incident...its all about tuning....granted there is a limit....head bolts stretching therefore taking out a headgasket or you could bend a rod due to the excess downward force...stock parts have their limit...but is by no means 5-10 pounds of boost....only if your an idiot and cant tune it

^^^ why? if it hasn't broken yet I am sure its tuned well enough.......u people think engines are so fragile......they are not fragile to a person who knows what they are doing.....breakable yes.....I mean hell my engine is breakable, just because its forged doesn;t mean you cant burn a whole in it........but still....not fragile

What are some other companies that offer reliable turbo's? Cavalier connections sounds pretty good, anyone have any experience with them? Also, how much boost is safe without having to go with internal upgrades for the Ecotec?

I just want to avoid a P.O.S. I have a low mileage newer car and I don't want to f**k it up too bad.
