Im currently in the works of aquiring a supercharged eco. All stock except the charger and the GM flash.
When I start adding things such as an exhaust, header, heat exchanger setup and maybe a 3.1 pulley. Can I get away with that on the gm tune? Ive read guys are doing just fine with the 3.1 pulley on the gm tune.
But not to sure if the other stuff will cause issues or just help efficiency, and make it safer till I can learn to tune with hpt.
Also im curious. People seem to have to run huge injectors to get power out of these things...isnt injectors sized for your power goals? Yet I see people needing 60's and 80's for under 300 hp where as other may only need 42's for a turbo setup of the same power levels.
The power you want is only part of the injector equation you also have to factor in base specific fuel consumption, turbo's do better in that respect. A turbo'ed 4 banger is going to be very near the limit of 42 lb injectors at 300 hp. People who get 60's wanted to have some breathing room on their injectors and people who got 80's with the blower... um I guess they were planning on swapping to a turbo eventually or were going to run e85. Though running e85 on this computer is a sketchy business, no one has done it and I seem to be the only person who thinks its even possible.
The GM reflash sucks, it'll work I guess but once you start flowing more air you run into issues of running out of fuel.
