Remember, this is on a DynoDynamics Dyno so add 20-22% for DynoJet type numbers...
I'm pretty happy with it for now. I think I'm going to have to start looking at getting a different Intake Manifold (Brandon
) and a bigger throttlebody. The Venom Manfold and 62mm Throttlebody (and the Secret Cams) might be holding me back.
Had to run a jumper wire from the rear mounted battery to the fuel pump (it was dropping to much voltage to keep up with the 60lbs. of pressure at the rail) so I'll have to run a 10ga. wire from the Tec back to the pump.
I'm outta here for tonight!!!

man... if you ever get an opportunity to possibly dyno the differences between the venom and whatever it is you go with...
id love to see if it does help or not etc...
anyways, great numbers. gettin there!!
Familiar Taste of Poison.
very impressive. was this with the e85? did you switch back to that or from that again haha. your town needs to make up its mind for gas. cant wait to see it with all the kinks worked out.
very nice
id use your existing fuel pump wire to trigger a relay and run the 10gauge from the batt to the relay to the pump , since both are in the back , itll be alot less of a voltage drop that way
Gary. If your using a stockish or walbro pump you could buy
this wiring harness. It should be plug and play.

Thanks guys, that's on E-85 and 95lb. injectors. I'm already at 84% duty cycle in the last cell of the tune so if I go for to much more I might have to go to a staged injector setup. It really didn't pickup much going from 17ish to 19lbs. of boost so I really think I've hit a bottle neck somewhere.
Also had to swap out the MSD coils and put the Electromotive (stock GM?) on to keep from blowing out the spark.

Cams and an intake mani will make a huge difference. Brandons peice is a work of art and is amazing. Dropped our spool by 500 rpms and the car has a lot more top end. HO cams will also help. What PSI were you running at?
I would suggest the racetronix pump and wiring harness, at least the wiring harness. Also run -8 braided ss line from the tank to the fuel rail. Just ask Brandon how much of a difference it makes.
Sorry, forgot to answer about the fuel pump. I switched over to a plastic tank and made a deep sump for it so I could just run an external pump (aeromotive model 11106) . I've upgraded to -8 supply line and am using the stock 3/8 supply line as my return.
Once I get it up in the air again I'll look at the wiring and see what I want to do.
Seriously unless I figure out how to make a rollbar work out with my interior setup, anymore power isn't going to do me any good,I can't track it if I'm running faster then a 13.49.
Forgot to mention,I'm at 14psi at 3450...

Nice Job Gary! On a Dynojet it would of been low 400's for sure. What were your AFR/Lambda reading at WOT? I am wondering if the e85 is causing your bottleneck?
P&P Tuning
420.5whp / 359.8wtq
Lambda is .76-.78 so AFR is 11.1-11.4. EGT's ran 1225-1250 never saw anything over 1275. Tractive Effort was in the 1450's,these nitto's where getting way to sticky...
At one point we had as much as 29* advance. He was listening on his
Phormula knock detector and never even a blip of knock, but it wasn't making anymore (actually dropped a couple hp.) power so we ended up about 27.5 max advance.

Nice job.
I've always enjoyed the LD9...it was the first J we ever turboed, waaay back in 1998. We never brought the kit to market...the demand back then was insufficient, as the J market had not really taken off yet. I fear we were too far ahead of the curve on that one!

^^^^ and bill, iirc didnt it also utilize a venom intake manifold? did you guys ever get it on a dyno?
gary-what is 'tractive effort?'

awesome Gary, this car is just full of win.

No, our personal car was stock except for the turbo. We did dyno it, I'd have to get a look for the data. It was also an automatic trans, which meant it was really hard on transmissions since we didn't have tuning software back then!
You may be thinking about Darren Herde's car, which had one of our StreetRace sheetmetal intake manifolds.

Yeah, I remember you trying to get that setup. I think I still have printed screen shots from your webpage from back then. I am sorry that the demand was not there because it would have been a nice kit to have

Haha, Life happened! He's been focusing on family and work, trying to get hired by the local fire departments, got a couple kids, house, just got all busy and the toy had to sit. Pity; it was a sweet car.

^ it was a sweet car. i did too wondered what happened to him.
anyways.
nice #s gary. glad to see it on e85.
i dont think that e85 is holding him back. I say cams/ intake manifold.
good job gary, yea need a new set of sticks in there probably help your power band too be able to make power up til 7k, intake manifold is easy can do staged injectors too if you need.
