2005 sunfire injectors

So were turboing my friends 2005 sunfire, and we went to start swapping the injectors and go figure, they didnt fit. They werent long enough. There off of a cobalt ss. So my question is where can we get injectors that will fit this year? Ive looked around for the past 2 hours and cant find any.

Many people use those injectors i thought. I could be wrong, but i believe you have to save a little bit off the stock manifold so they will push down alittle more. The clip hits it so if you grind away some of the plastic, the clip wont hit anymore. Dont hold that to me tho i might be wrong.

and you have to have a harness for it 2. Im sure you already knew that tho.

Actually they plug right in, no need for a new harness. And the fuel rail brackets that bolt to the head r whats in the way, I dont really want to have to cut them off or shave them down.

When I did my S/C install on my 03, I cut the tabs off the fuel rail and figured out a way to secure the rail to the block. And they should be a direct plug in for the wiring harness.

I think you can use an 02 eco rail but don't hold me to that.

I swapped to the 02 fuel rail with the ss injectors and removed the spacers in the head. They fit perfect.

the only good post in this thread so far.

to the OP, if you're looking for upgraded injectors, try ford racing (bosch) style injectors.. the only downside is they use an EV1 plug so you'd have to cut the stock injector clips off and use EV1 connectors instead.

or, what andrew said. the LSJ injectors only fit with a 2002 fuel rail.

See by reading on jbody for 4 years and a little bit of experience I know something worth repeating.

So if we swap out the fuel rails what about the FPR? How does that work into it? Cuz this is the first time Ive had to do something like this and Im not exactly sure what to do.

I have the LSJ injectors in my car for the time being. I am using 2 of these washers/bushings underneath each injector cup and my injectors fit snug and all the o-rings seal.

Later this summer i will be swapping them out for larger and longer injectors.

As long as the O.D. of the washer matches the O.D. of the injector cup.
