quick tune - Boost Forum

okay so i plan to turbo my car this winter and am just trying to get around needing to pay for hpt is there a cheaper way to tune or just a flash i can get for the turbo at say 5 or 6 lbs maybe.

Ok here's the trick.

Take a 6-led flashlight, but only one that uses 2 AA batteries. Must be 6-led. 5 and the light isn't bright enough. 7 and too bright, will ruin everything.

Hold flashlight to DLC port under dash.

Flash the light on and off, half a second at a time, for 1000 times.

For higher boost applications, 1500 times.

Bingo, you're done.

Quick and cheap.

if you use the word cheap, tune, boost together in a sentece prepare for fail...

toss 20-40 a week in savings for HPT.. thats what im doing, i project i can buy it by april lol.

or, get someone whos already got it in your area to do the tuning for you.....

true, but if you dont want to chase them down to tune and have it yourself, just gotta save. but if you want to save money and pay 100 for the 2 credits from someone in your area, do whatever you gotta do man lol

i know a guy with 6 hpt tuners modules at work that might do it and the credit i think will cost you 100 bucks plus whatever we would want for doing it at his work. talk to Jay Payson at Hp Tuners about getting you the credit for the interface.

Best way if the person is close by and dependable. That will give you even more options when you start changing stuff.
