boost gauge ??

This may sound like a dumb question but... I'll be installing a Hahn Stage II kit and I have been looking at gauges to get and was wondering what everybody likes and what will work best on our cars...

I'm assuming you guys are using the full sweep or short sweep electric and not mechanical gauges? do you use the MAP sensor that comes with the gauge or hook it up to the factory one?

I also want to monitor oil pressure, have a LM-1 for a/f, and want to monitor one or two others...was thinking fuel pressure and possibly EGT...same question above...electric?/mechanical? (I know the oil is elec, which one?)

I did search and nobody really specifies...also found a good thread on installing the oil pressure guage but am still unclear what additional fittings I need for it and where people are tapping in when they have the turbo lines already tapped for the Hahn kit.

If I repeated questions and anyone could direct me to the thread that would be great, also any help/advice would be greatly appreciated... thanks,

It's all personal preference but I like the Autometer Cobalt line of guages, a lot of people hate Autometer & say they're cheap & overpriced. Most people actually do use mechanical guages, but simply because they are cheaper. I personally prefer full sweep electronic guages. As for the oil pressure when we did my friends 02 I don't remember what fitting we used but there are two pressurized port on the head the turbo only utilized 1. Use the other one for the oil pressure guage. Also the kit comes with a fuel pressure guage so unless you really want to have one in cabin then its not really necessary. My friend just extended his on a hose far enough so it was visable through his windshield, I know, I know, that's ghetto!

It beats a Honda!

thanks...doesn't the mech oil pressure gauge have to run some type of oil line into the cabin though?...I was looking at the cobalt gauges, they are my favorite and is probably what I'm going to get...
