Just grab dipstick and bend it where it needs to be. When you get the oil drain for your turbo hooked up to the pan and pan back on, fill up the correct amount of oil for your motor and note if the oil level on your dipstick looks different. it shouldn't though. it's really no big deal.

hmm. yea i was gonna try that. but for some reason they made the cavalier dip stick seriously like an inch n 1/2 thik in all. so i wasint sure if it would possibly break it while bending it cuz its sooo thik neways thanks for the input.

The best way to do it to not touch the pipe until you first make absolutely sure the oil level is exactly where it should but, like right on the full mark. Then get the pipe bent the right way (if you try to bend it, cutting an welding is the best option. then attatch the tube and stick your dipstick back in. pull it out and see where the oil goes up to (because you filled it up perfectly before you did this). That is now the exact spot where your oil should be, now take a file and file in a little groove so that your oil will always be at factory spec even after you cut and weld the tube or change the length in any way.

I have always kind of wondered why people dont just cut the tube short enough, Then cut the dipstick the same amount as you cut the tube, stick it back in with the proper oil level and mark it. Then when you change the oil you would just have to use a long funnel. I think you could even pull the metal part of the dipstick out of the cap and cut from the top. Then even the bottom part would be factory and you wouldnt have to mark anything.
