I got an intercooler from you know where.......anyway, i'm wondering if i got the right one because the OD of the inlet and outlet is 2.215".....im wondering if this is normal for 2.5" ports on an intercooler

If the OD, the outside, is 2.215in and you ordered a 2.5in intercooler, how could it be right?

Not really a hard one there buddy. You got a 2.25in intercooler.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.

Depending on how large the intercooler is and just how much hp you will be looking to achieve the difference in just the 2.25" and 2.5" end tank isn't going to have all that much impact. Obviously bigger is better but it should work out for you just fine.

how much do you want for the intercooler???

horsepower is how hard you hit the wall, Torque is how far you push the wall with you

wouldn't the turbo now have to work less to compress the air in those pipes?!?

the larger the charge pipes the more cfm possible. I'm gonna be boosting with a 62mm TB which is 2.4", the get that the only option I have for a good laminar flow up to the TB is with 2.75" charge pipes since the ID of the 2.75" pipes will be around the desired size ~ 2.4" or so. If I can't find 2.75" intercooler inlet and outlet then I will have to do a size reduction or something, or get a 3" inlet and outlet intercooler.
