blue smoke at idle.
Sunday, August 13, 2006 5:50 PM
just got the car finished. on a cold start it seams to puff a bit of blue smoke out while idling and warming up, yet quits as soon as i drive it down the street. and once and a while it will do the same while waiting at a redlight and such idling... is the oil pooling up in the turbo when its not spinning? causing it to burn oil?? any solutions or ideas for this problem?

thanks for the link, Acer.

Do those guys ship to Canada ok?

I would have bought the ATPturbo fitting already, but their shipping rates to Canada are disgusting.

alright, I ordered one.

their shipping rates seemed MUCH more reasonable then ATP.

I was getting a bit of burning too, as my restricted fitting wasn't small enough.

really eh?

how did you go about changing the shipping rate then? Did you phone your order in?

If so, they may have gained a customer back.

thanks for the headsup, they have a lot of nice stuff I could have used!

Yeah call atp when your ordering and they will always adjust the shipping prices. I know i was getting a few bolts and 2 flanges and shipping was like 16 bucks on their site, I called them and they shipped it for free

Just a FYI....The turbo is ALWAYS spinning. It doesn't stop until long after the motor shuts off.
