what defines a "super 60" it is just that the compressor is a T3 60trim? exhaust can be 0.48 or 0.60??

the trim of the compressor is a super 60 trim...i believe meaning that the exducer to inducer ratio is like 1.9" compared to a regular 60 trim which is only 1.87"
you have to know the difference between trim and a/r...the exhaust a/r can be anything, but the trim of the compressor is known as a super 60
well the ratio is know as the "trim" inducer/exducer * 100, (www.turbobygarrett.com tech102) so on the super 60, it is not just a glorified 60 trim, it is different that a 60 trim.
Cause from what I am reading it looks like all T3 compressor wheels have the same a/r just different trims. And to add to that that all t4 compressor housings have the same a/r's as all t4 compressors. so a to4b compressor is a 50trim compressor, where the To4E is the exact same a/r but it is a 57trim, (which just means the inducer measurement is larger) can some one correct me if this is wrong.

I read all the tech articles, and from my understanding you have it right. But the trim is an area ratio used to describe the relationship betweent he turbine and compressor housing. If its a 57 trim as opposed to a 50 trim you can t really tell whether that means the inducer measurement is larger or if its the exducer just by looking at 50 or 57, or I may be wrong. But I would definetely agree with you, all t3s have the same a/r's just diffrent trims which is the size of this..
I think my whole original post is bogus now, lol, you can get many different a/r's on the compressor as well as many different trims. I went to www.cheapturbo.com and they have about a million different combos on the To4 compressor.
