i have a 2002 z 24 motor that im building for boost. the best idea i can come up with for running the oil feed line is T'ing off the oil pressure sensor in the lifter housing. my question is, will this give me a bad oil pressure read out, or is there any other better way to run it?
There is a bolt on the driver side of the block (there are like 3 total and i think any of them would work) that some use for the feed... i am building my turbo now and thats what i plan on using for the oil feed line to the turbo... I am going to T that line at the block for the oil pressure gauge...
you need an adapter for the block to a 1/8th npt . .. . . its 12mm X 1.75 to 1/8th on summit....

hes running a 2.4 not an eco
it will work jusst fine my buddy is running his from the same spot

I used the spot right under the IDI cover- on the driverside.
I removed the factory oil pressure sensor and put a T in it--- I have my feed line & the electric sender for my autometer gauge hooked up to it.. I removed the factory pressure sensor.. No warning lights or anything on my 97 2.4... No problems so far.
so u just hooked up an aftermarket oil pressure sensor and gauge where the stock one went and t'd the oil feed off it and it worked fine, cuz i dont wanna have any problems going off the sensor and having it mess up my engine or something.
Yep... The factory sender is in my toolbox...
No problems here.
That leads to the question - if it's in your toolbox what good is it for when on the motor..... hahahahh.

did you guys run your return line to the oil pan or the cam housing because i've been told both will work. the cam housing is a little bit of an up hill travel though from the turbo will that be a problem, or is constant pressure keep it going? tad
NEVER run your return line up. Always have it going lower.
It will build up pressure and destroy the turbo bearings.

thats pretty much what i was wonderin thanks for the insight tho cuz that'll save me from blowin up my turbo. so just thread it into the oil pan then.
make sure it is above the oil line though. Going too low will also cause the oil to back up and build up pressure.
