if i do my piping with aluminum will it be sufficient enough for boosting or am i forced to go steel?
i bought a hks bov flange for 2.5 piping in aluminum and i didn't think twice about what kind of material i was doing the piping in .
my mistake
but hopefully aluminum will do the job!

aluminum may be a bit more expensive to get welded but nothing ridiculous. You could always switch to steel later if you need. ALuminum dents easily i did all my stuff in steel. Its a bit heavier but i like it.

most of mine is aluminum. all of it recycled junk. saab & volvo charge pipes, some exhaust parts, and a hacked up aem cold air intake for a honda make up the charge pipes
oh yea and my intake is made from a bend from a ford intake, a leaf blower extension, an elbow from a 2.2 WAI and a ricer-esk cone filter. it was cheap and it all works just fine.

I usually use mild steel when I build turbo cars. I built a turbo civic for someone this week and used aluminum.. it is all prefference and how much you want to pay. If you want to be cheaper get just one small aluminum tube and have the bung welded on then do the rest in mild steel.

haha I tried to clock the turbo and it only clocked in 45 deg options..
so I had that position, straight down wich ran into the down pipe,into the radiator(not a good idea), and straight up(even though this would look cool not that good for flow).
