if you were a computer programmer and could build the entire system...im sure it could be done.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.

you can easily make your own manual boost controller. just spend about $10 for the hardware at home depot or lowes and it could be done. it will be a bleed type i saw a website on it before. looks fairly simple

are you sure you know enough about boost to be playing with boost unsafe custom boost controolers? the reason I ask is because Its fairly obvius how it works.if the wastegate sees boost and regulates how much accordingly. then by just getting a bleed valve inbetween the gate and source and bleeding off boost you let the wastegate see less boost hence more in the egnine. I know this sounds complicated but its not. if you cant figure this out for yoursefl stay away from it. turbos and engies are worth more than a cheap thrill.

Thats a good find. The one i remember reading about is similar. But to be safe you should put a thin lock nut in between so it doesnt come apart.

Considering that a boost controller can break in ways that can cause catastrophic engine failure, you should be vary careful about which one you choose. I've seen home made ones that worked fine, but if you don't take ecery precaution, like using locktite and/or thread sealant where needed, you can get into big trouble. Manual boost controllers are cheap. And you can get a Greddy Profec B on ebay for $200... all in all, they aren't expensive enough to really be worth fiddling around with sketchy homemade stuff. You'll be much happier in the long run if you spend some more money now, and don't have to spend A LOT more down the road.

Kustom,
I've seen it done before. I still wouldn't do it though. Just buy a used one. I'm sure you could find a turbo xs one for like $70 somewhere, if not a think you could still get a brand new one for like $85.

Manual boost controllers, especially cheap ones, are very subject to boost spike and boost creep. I would spend the money on a quality boost controller, its worth its weight in gold.
