What if i wanted to turbo my 1993 Pontiac Sunbird 2.0 OHC. I just replaced everything from the head up and then i blew a connecting rod and got a big hole in the block. and if i got a junkyard turbo 2.0 could i use the same head and valve train as the N/A engine.
Well i dont know much about sunbirds valvetrain, but if you poped a rod through your block your gonna need a new one. If thats the case you got a lot more problems then the head to be worrying about. I would venture to say the heads would be simular, but i really wouldnt know.
The 2.0 is Over Head Cam and its brand new cam but if any one nows is the N/A one different then the turbo.
From my recolection, all the 2.0 OHC motors offered in the J-bodies are phsycially the same.

so the cams are the same N/A or turbo.

That I don't know but I thought you said you upgraded your whole valvetrain system?

As long as the camshaft isn't some big wild N/A camshaft...I don't see a problem with it.
