Okay, I've done a bit of research on the Big 3...
But is it necessary to run the same "path" as the stock wires from the Alt to the Starter to the Battery?
(I have a 95 2.2, btw.)
If it is NOT necessary to follow that path, can I dissconnect the "starter to the battery" since the alt will go direct?
(I am also going to do the alt to ground and battery to ground. I am using 4 gauge stranded...)
Any help would be much appreciated!

no need to bother with the starter...just run it straight to the battery and leave the stock wires alone.

Should I keep the stock wires hooked up: alt to starter and starter to battery as well as using the new 4 ga. wire direct from alt to battery?
I read a post where you mentioned that you kept the stock wires in place (in case you ever would sell the car -- good idea, btw -- but I wasn't sure if you dissconnected them, too....
My alt is top left of the engine compartment (by the overflow tank) and I guess I'll run the positive wire along the front (and top) of the fan cover...
Thanks, btw!

yea...it won't matter if you leave the stock wires or not..the current will travel the path with the least resistance (the bigger wire most likely)...you can simply add your 3 wires and that's it.

Thanks anyhow. I'm gonna let some WD40 soak in there overnight, I guess...

I have a set of power pulleys (undersized) and one goes on the alt. I have to transfer it from the stock alt to the hi-output... It's being stubborn!
I have one more idea to try before I really get ticked, tho. LOL

The only way i could get the pulley off the alt when i changed the alt in my van was with an impact gun at my shop.
I got it off tonight using a 24mm box wrench, E10 (size?) male star socket, a ratchet, a pipe, the old belt and a vice... I also soaked it overnight with WD40.
Worked like a charm -- don't know why I didn't think of that earlier... Praise the Lord for pipes that "extend" the ratchet handle! LOL
Thanks for the help guys!
