Has anyone compared these? I wanted rear 6x9's, and front 6.5" speakers, 3 way where possible. What do the Alpine Type R's sound like vs the Infinity Kappas? They will be running off off a Rockford Fosgate 600a4(75wx4@4ohms RMS)..
they will sound diffrent to each person. after my post youlle have several people say alpine are better and then people saying infinity are better, and then people will chime in telling u to go with a completly diffrent brand, both of those brands are usually able to be found locally, go take a good cd out and listen and see wich one u like best, everyones ears are diffrent so we hear things diffrently.
and i'd personally rather have a quality 2 way speaker versus 3 lower budget speakers.

Both choices are great, you'll definitely like them whatever way you go.
i like the alpines better becuse i had a pair or infinity kappas and they fried off of the deck (NO AMP) so that turned me away from them
Fast isn't always good, looks and sound is sometimes better

personally, i hate the way alpine's sound, i think pioneers or kenwoods sound better for less money. to me, the only things that sound better than kappa perfect's are mbquarts. but thats just my opinion.

But I run Infinity Ref.'s, amped with 80wrms on each... Info in my profile..
They were the cheapest/best sounding option for me at the time.. $35 for the 6.5's and $85 for the 6.5" comp set..
I agree with Sndsgood though, it really is personal preference...
