Ok i went to install my rear 6x9's today and ran into something
that confused me. I usually find 2 wires per speaker but
i there were 4. I tried crossing pairs of wires but got a really
nasty crackle when i turned up the volume on my deck.
Are there a certain set of wires i should be using?
The wires on the Driver side are
Light Green with a black stripe
Blue with a Light blue stripe
Yellow
Brown
The wire on the Passenger side are
Light Blue with a black stripe
Green
Light Blue
Blue
If i just use 2 of the 4 will i lose any power to the speakers
or do i need to use all four. Thanks for the help even though
i know this is probably a stupid question.
You have a 'premium amplified system'.. there's an amp on the driver's side of the trunk that powers the two drivers separately.
Best off to bypass the amp, and go from the deck wiring before it enters the amp. In fact, you can remove the amp altogether! (Think of the weight savings!)

if your using an aftermarket deck...you can use two of the wires that are there. (don't remember which ones, i lost my pics)
