Hey guys, this is my first post. I just bought a 93' Sunbird 2.0L for $230 with 110K on it. Owner thought it had a bad head gasket because it was eating coolant but I pressurized the coolant system and found the heater core was leaking the coolant. So $31 later I have a cheap, good condition car. Anyways, currently the radio does not work and I want to just replace with an aftermarket unit.
My radio looks like the picture on this thread(scroll down)

Its like a 3 inch by 3 inch box. What is available and what do I need to put an aftermarket normal head unit/CD player in it(if I even can)? I found this installation kit
http://www.scosche.com/scosche.aspx?ItemID=GM1452B&CategoryID=5 but I'm not sure how it would work as the molding for the current radio would be directly in the way and it doesn't look very secure as I don't know where it would hook up.
Does anyone have any pictures of what they have done with their car or advice on how to get an aftermarket unit in the dash(I don't want to make it bootleg and put it under the heater controls and such)? Thanks for the help, I look forward to contributing to this site!
Nick
After Looking at some more pics I've found this:

As you can see they added some interior piece that attaches the center console in front of the shifter to the upper dash, and the radio is mounted in this piece. Where do I get this extra interior piece? Thanks for the help.
PS- What connector/wiring harness am I going to need?
Thanks!
That piece they mounted the CD player in is the stock cassette thing, you won't have one if your car didn't come w/ cassette but it shouldn't be too tough to find one in a junkyard. they either modified the front piece of the cass. box to fit the CD player or found an aftermarket one w/ a cubbyhole in it, cause the only one's i found to put a CD player in there don't have a storage area...
