putting in a line output converter

I want to keep my setup hidden in the trunk, but for the LOC should keep it colse the the HU and run longer RCA's or in the trunk and extend the frint speaker wires to the rear with short RCA's. just curious as to if different wire lengths played a role in sound quality, and i will be gettin a new HU after I move outta here.

personally, i would place the line output convertor in the trunk and run a shorter RCA. if you plan on keeping the system hiden and such, you will probably have more room to hide the LOC in the trunk and also it will make the install much easier as you dont have to run RCAs the length of the car now. you can tap the lines for the rear speakers for the inputs into the LOC.

I would run rca's just because it would help to keep noise out of the system

if your planning on upgrading your hu, put it by the hu, ust so that you wont have to run new wires when you do get he new hu.... youll have a little noise but when you get the hu youll thank me.

You still need to run RCA's. its possible your thinking of a high level connection for the input to the amp.

if you attach the LOC to the rear speaker wires, it wont matter if you change the head unit unless you dont wire in the rear speakers to the radio harness.

If your getting a new head unit why not just use the rca outputs on it? they are higher voltage than what a loc can provide (most)

i was just meaning that if he keeps it near his current headunit he can just rmove the LOC and plug them into the new hu when he upgrades rather than having to run all new rca wires to the hu when he upgrades.
