I installed a aftermarket CD player but no power is getting to it i ran a voltage tester on it and its getting constant power from battery and the ground is good...but i noticed the ACC wire isnt getting any power at all when i turn the car on or off. WTF is going on? Is there a wire close tot he stereo area that comes on with the switch? How about the factory stereo harness what color is the ACC wire on it? Or what color is the ACC wire on the aftermarket wire harness...i got this one. I have a 01 cavalier.

i got an 03 sunfire so it should be the same. if not someone correct me. In the dash kit i got there was a fuse tap and an extra red wire. If not go buy some. You have to run off the accessory wire in the radio to a fuse in the fuse box. I think i used the wiper motor fuse in mine. That'll help it go.

yup...just got it working...ran a wire from the wiper fuse to the deck and now i can jam out to my girlfriends crappy ass music....yay!....(exzaderation)
