Hey I have a 2000 Sunfire and two 15w3v2 JL subwoofers in the trunk right now on a Kicker ZR360 with a 3 farat pyle cap any way i was wondering what do you guys think would be a good amp to run my subs should I buy 1 big amp that will cost me a fortune or buy two smaller amps for the same amount of power ? and also doses any one elese have 15 jl what kind of db do you guys hit ?
Well, seeing that you're running SQ subs, SPL shouldn't have been your primary focus when buying them.
Nobody here can tell you what you will hit with them. If you're lucky, you might break 140. With experimentation, maybe higher. But those subs weren't built to handle what guys like me do to their SPL subs. They can be made to sound pretty damn good though.
As for amps, it's difficult to recommend anything without knowing what voicecoil configuration they have.
My vote goes to a single amp, for these reasons:
1) 1000 - 1200wrms amps are as common as pennies these days. And these things can be found cheap these days.
2) Going with 2 separate amps involves gain matching unless they're strappable. And most people don't know how to gain match. Going with 1 amp is much simpler, and (normally) takes up much less space.
3) 99% of the time, 1-1000wrms amp will cost you less than 2-500wrms amps.
Once you post up your coil config, we can help more.

i call bull@!#$t what mic was it on?
the subs come in dual 2 or dual 4 ohm coils. it is hard to recomend an amp without knowing which it is. otherwise, reguardless of which amp specificaly you need, Cadence is having a realy good sale on their TXA amps right now. Go to Cadencesound.com and click outlet store, the pricing for a good quality amp that actualy puts out rated power cant be beat right now. Or, go to caraudioforum.com and send a PM to JasonPaul, tell him that Dustin told you about the tx amp prices. he will let you know what ones are available and help you place an order.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

sorry to jack..
so exactly how DO you 'gain match' ????
id like to know as i'll be running 2 seperate amps to 2 subs. 2 boxes as well, so they dont interefere with each other. (inside a box anyways)
