yeah stick a screwdriver in it. problem solved.
You could always put tape over it. The only way is to remove the bulb, or if you have HPtuners, I think there's an option in there somewhere regarding the shift light. I just got used to it, and learned to ignore it.
there isnt an easier way? i really dont feel like disassembling my whole dash
put tape over it then if you want to be lazy.
the dash has to come off.
stupid dash....i wanan pull a fuse or soemthing...lol just just luck i would pull the one that causes my car to explode
dont worry that fuse is hidden very well you wont pull it.
oh ok then....good.....i usually find those ones first
The bulbs are pretty easy to yank on second gens (I pulled the bulb on my old sunbird), I could have the clutser out in 5 min. I've never pulled the cluster out of my Sunfire yet though. To be honest, you'll probably get use to it before you get around to taking the dash apart. There not as annoying as the ones in the 2nd gens where.
Yeah, Sunbird all you have to do is take off the bezel and maybe the surrounding panels. Sunfires you have to remove half the dashboard.
i've pulled my cluster out, maybe 20 minutes tops.. and that was my first time doing it. just keep track of your screws and give it a little gentle tugging.
