I am looking to buy a new amp for my new subs. I have 2 Kicker Comp VR 12" subs, DVC 2ohm. I am looking to buy a
Power Acoustik TS1920-2 amp for them. This was not my first pick but it seems like the best for the money. I would be running 440 watts to both subs rms on a 2ohm load.
I have never owned a PA amp or never seen anyone with one, are they crap? If this would not be a good amp, what would you all suggest for me?

Have you bought the amp yet? I bought a PA TS620 Amp. I was gonna post my results when I hooked it up. i was plannin to do it soon. I'll let you know how it goes if i mount it before you get it ordered. I expect it to be a decent amp though. it had variable LP filter and a wired bass remote. I think I'll be happy wit it. I'll let you know on it
No I have not bought it yet, Let me know asap how it goes with that one. Anyone else have any suggestions?

for 154 bucks I can get ya better if you don't mind refurbs. I have never had a problem with anything factory refurbished I have bought.
Kenwood 9152d CEA 2006 rated
Kenwood 9102d I sound like a kenwood fanboy hehe. Finding a 2 ohm stable mono amp is hard any more. Class d's are all going 1 ohm stable.
If you haven't got the subs yet, getting dual 4's would open up a whole new ballgame. These kenwood amps are pretty reliable. Some people have had a problem with ikesound, so you can search around on the internet for other places that carry the 9152d, it is probably the best match for ya. I have ordered twice from ikesound without any problems. Stay away from PA, I still consider them flea market crap.
Have you ever actually used one or seen one used? Cuz its easy to discredit something thats not name brand.
I am thinking these would be to much power for my subs. Yes, I have already bought them and they are Dual 2ohm. They are rated at 400w rms per sub. I was looking to get a 2ch amp for a few reasons. I was told that with 2 subs a 2ch am would feed them better, that a mono amp can not put the whole rms power it has to both subs.... is that correct?
I was looking for more around 400rms since thats what my subs are rated at, these Kenwoods are 500rms.

Ok, What about this amp? Its a
Kicker KX400.1
It can do 400 watts RMS x 1 @ 2ohm
I can get it for $137.00 shipped on ebay, would this be a good pair for
2 12" Kicker Dual 2ohm CompVRs? and as I said above, having a mono amp running 2 subs will not lower the wattage right? as in this mono amp on 2 subs will still be 400 to both subs...

Right becuase you'll probably be wiring those in series then your impedemence will go down to 2ohms so you'll be making the right rms. U know the ones on E-bay are remanufactured.
I personally am a fan of Hifonics amps. They are very reasonable, and put out good power for the money. Have never had a problem with them, and it pushes my 2 12" JL 12w6v2 subs great.
As Skyler said above, some people have had issues with ikesound, but personally I have ordered two amps from them, and have had no problems at all.
