Okay i know that this subject has been touched on a few times by many others out there on the org i was reading this post
http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.php?f=4&i=132945&t=132945 and thay said that they fit a 36 wide 17.5 tall 24 deep in through the back seat i had a box that was 36 wide and 17.5 deep and 22 wide but i could not get it to fit in through the back seat i rolled the pinch weld which gave me the height that i needed but when i rolled the diagonal ear things the box was still to wide so i took it apart and tried to put it in through the trunk i got the base in okay but when it came to putting the sides on what lookes like the strut brace was in the way for the height i needed so i built another box which was 16.5 high 34 wide and 24 deep but it still wouldnt fit i had to take the trunk lid and the hinges off to get it to fit in there properly but when it came time for re assembly the tenssion bars on the arms hit the top of the box so i had the genuis idea of taking them off and putting them back on once i got the box in well got the box in and i cant get my trunk lid to stay up because the bars will not stay in is there some special way to put these bars back on and do i just hav to grind the top of the box downd so they dont rub on the top of it.
does anybody know how to put on the tension bars
