New setup (opinions)

Ok, i'm gearing my car for more performance oriented driving, and two eD 12's really wiegh it down, and I don't really need that much. I want to sell my current sub amp combo, which is 2 eD 13 Ov.2, powered by an Orion HCCA d2400 wired to 1 ohm at 1200 watts (600 each). I wanted to go with one 10, but I can't decide between the 11kv.2 or 11ov.2. I would go with a NINe.1 in an eD designed box. Would I be satisfied or would it leave me missing the 2 12's? I guess what i'm asking is how much quality would I lose?

I want SQ all the way, doesn't have to rattle the houses I go by, just to add a lot of depth to music.

Any opinions would be great, I know Alex could give me some great info so thanks in advance, I don't think i'll ever stray from eD.

In all honesty, if you are using the nine.1....that will be too much for an 11ov2, even at 2 ohms..let alone an 11kv2...YIKES....

an 11ov2 weights in at 20lbs while a 13ov2 weights 25lbs.. Not a whole lot in weight...the big issue is box weight.

If you want to cut weight and keep alot of sound. Ide say go with an 11ov2 D2 and a nine.2...400 watts to the 11ov2 is a great match and in a vented box wont be as heavy in the vehicle.

I recommend going vented, just becuase you are stepping down from a pretty big setup that was vented before, and you might miss some of that output.

another thing i could recommend is going with 2 11kv2s and a nine.2x....300 watts per speaker, and the 11kv2s weight 12lbs each. You will get more cone area with the 2 11kv2s, but then you have a fairly heavy box again, if you go vented. If you go sealed, the box will only need to be 1ft^3. Not to big and not too heavy, and you have a little more displacement than the single 11ov2 setup.

I think I would go with the 1 11ov.2 I like the sound of the ov's (from what ive heard) and the nine.2 is what I meant lol.

Or buy an RF T210D2, and keep the amp. Downside is the sub is 34 lbs, and need 1.5 cubes vented, so it'll be heavy. Great SQ though.

edit: I just read the last half of the last line, so nevermind lol.

Yeah i'd just rather stick with something that I have heard and know won't let me down. I would give otehr things a try but this will most likely be with me for awhile, so i'm just going to stay in a comfort zone.
