I installed an oil pressure gauge about 2 months ago and everything went good but now i have a check oil light. The light will go off when i turn the car off and then back on. I dont have the stock sensor in anymore. So I was wondering if any one have had this problem. Thanks to anyone who helps.
But i think i read somewhere that people have had no stocker anymore and no light. Just weird how it didn't automatically come on, now it does a couple of months later.
Really? Cuz I met a guy who blew his motor because he didn't have the stock one. Maybe put it back in and splice them?
did he have anyway to moniter his oil pressure? I've seen where people have a tee fiting for both sensors but iv'e seen them break before and thats not good. The stock sensor only reads when the oil pressure gets extremely low so i'd rather not have it if i dont have to.
It'd still be better to do a T fitting. I think he had an oil temp guage set up, but no pressure.
I had one, but I just used another hole that was aready around the stock sensor. I think you need to get the stock sensor back in there and then reset your ecu. I think that should take care of it.
