Ok, so I had a sub and amp... worked fine...
added 2 4x6 and 2 6x9... NOT AMPED...
works fine...
BUT...
When I shut off the car/Turn off my deck/open my drivers door (all stops the deck from staying on)
it makes this noise, like power is cutting off (like a clunk,not so much a loud pop)
It didn't do this with the stock speakers 2 mins earlier, so it's not the sub/amp
I search for the wire colours on this board and followed it correctly for +/-
The only thing I can think of is, what are the other 2 wires for... each had 4 wires going into a connector that went to the stock speakers...
I cut the 2 off that I needed in the back and left the other 2 in the connector, but for the front I had to cut the whole connector off...
so maybe the front arn't doing it because the other 2 wires arn't connected to that connector piece, and the backs are (causing the noise)
any ideas???

if you have 4 wires goin to each speaker, then you have the monsoon systerm, i' m not too keen on that but Machzel08 is, chances r he'll be in here soon enough

go into the trunk pull away the carpet on the drivers side and see if you see a silver box wire like 12 wires going into it. if so then you have the monsoon system. thats the amp for the rear speakers.

That doesn't make any sense, because to my knowledge only the monsoon system had the 4-wire plug system.

ok i cant belive everyone was waiting on me...lol
amp in the back means premium sound, monsoon or not its gonna be the same thing. im praying that you the the wires off the speakers and not before the connector. the shorter wires go to the woofer, the longer go to the tweeter for the 6x9. the fornts your actually on your own for. sunfires have separate tweeters so its easy to tell. when i say conect to the tweeter your gonna have to cut the wires form the tweeter off of your connections on the speaker and conenct them yourself. if its confusing let me know, im in a rush i'll wirte it better

I was planning on taking out the monsoon amp and running it from my Alpine deck...
I figured the monsoon is crap and the Alpine deck would be more clear...
any thoughts?

its probably the internal chime module so yea. but keep in mind removing the factory radio gets rid of ur dor chimes. you can buy a chime adapter but i dont have the number. and you dont have to go through the effort of removing the amp. jsut run new wired to bypass it. and then send me ur headunit and amp cause i want them for a project im doing

all I wanna know how to do is take out the crap monsoon amp...
but when I read the sticky it seems wierd...
right now all I have connected is +/- on front and back... in the back theres 2 more wires on each speaker left over...
how do I go about disconnecting it....
I have a deck and 4 new speakers installed... and wanna run the speakers off the deck, not the monsoon amp...
any help?
