First and foremost, I have searched and read the sticky several times but my questions were not answered, so now...I ask.
I went today and bought everything I needed to do a headunit install and actually got everything in and working perfectly, or so I thought. After I put everything back together, I noticed that my Gauges and HVAC werent lighting up...not the whole cluster, just the gauges.. First thing I did was check all my fuses...every one, inside and under the hood and they were all fine. Then I ripped the dash back apart and checked all my connections and they were fine. Checked here, everyhting I searched came up "fuses", which were fine. As a last ditch effort, I put the stock radio back in and what do you know...everything worked perfectly! Now, I bought a Scoche GM035 harness for 2000-2003 Tracker, How do I get my gauges and HVAC lights to work? Is there somehwere I need to wire the Illuminaton/Dimmer wire too, because there is no place on my new deck to wire it to. Many thanks...

Yes. I would start by buying a harness for a 03-05 Cavalier. What head unit are you running? Most aftermarket units have a dimmer/illumination wire. It's typically Orange. The stock harness dimming/illumination wire is grey.
Are those the only lights inside not working? Because all dash/interior lights are on same circuit. Check to mke sure the orange or ornge/white wire are grounding out anywhere. Also notto overlook the obvious but make sure your plugging in the dimmer switch when you put dash together.
And make sure the dimmer knob is turned up
All the idiot lights will come on, and the dome light still works off the dimmer...its just the tach, speedo, Fuel, and temp gauges that dont light up
nm, turns out my illum wire was grounding out
yeah, suck huh, I have my dash pulled apart right now and i was going to put and aftermarket deck in thought i could use my brothers harness from an 94 cavalier...wrong....so i go to best buy and ask them about it guess the new radios have some RDS or something in it. So a bunch of the information is stored in the stock deck and like the door chime wont work they said all your gauges wont work except speedometer and the fuel one if your not low on gas.....so what im trying to say what i just figured out is that we need to buy a 120 dollar harness. that is how i stumbled upon this

Uhm, no. The only part of that that is true is the door/seatbelt chimes will not work. ALL gauges, dash lights, air bags will work normally. Read the sticky for more information.

70-2003- 15-20 dollar harness is all that's needed!
