i am looking at 2 subs....1 12" Type R in a ported box or 1 12" infinity Reference in a ported box. Which one would be better for rock, rap, and i love bass. I want it loud.....so more for spl not sq. Any thoughts or input would be great.

also in the manuals or websites for manufac. do they state the tuning freq.? Or how do i get the info on that

I had a Type-R, it was decent, but not loud enough for me. I'm sure it would have been a different story if I had 2, but I didn't. It probably would have been perfect in a hatchback car. It's for sale if you want it, comes with a really @!#$ty homemade ported box (not made by me).
anyone have any experience with infinity

i've had a set of kappa 12"s for a few years now and am happy with them, but if you want just loud and don't care what it sounds like just find something cheap and disposable
i do care what it sounds like, but I have limited funds available....i can get type r's and infinity reference subs really cheap, thats why i was comparing them.

kicker solobaric subs will hit hard.. L5s or even L7s if youve got the funds
