Ok I read up somewhere here in the forums a few weeks ago that somebody made an ETS switch for their Cavalier. Instead of pulling up the E-Brake one click or dropping it into 1st or 2nd gear. He said something about connecting a switch or button to something on the E-brake. That way instead of pulling up the brake one click to shut off ETS you can just flip the switch on and it works that way. Just like a button in the Sunfires. Anybody know how to do this? Or if your the guy that did that can you post pictures and or tell how you did it? Thanks to everybody ahead of time.

My car has two speeds, fast and faster.
Nobody has an idea how to do it?

Sunfires have the programming for the button in their BCM's... 00+.... but the Cavalier's don't.
Using a switch on the ebrake wire, is exactly the same as clicking it up one notch. Why bother wiring in a switch? One notch won't engage the ebrake.
yeah i know but if i use just the switch wired up to it instead of pulling up the ebrak. the ebrake light wont come on right?

I have been meaning to try this for a little while, just haven't had the time. Try gounding out the e-brake and see if that works. And yes, the brake light will light up.

Ban low-performance cars, not high-performance ones.
Of course the light will come on! The switch is the only switch on the ebrake.... so if you pull it up one notch, it has the same effect (on the light) as putting a switch on it.
Go to a wrecking yard, pull a Sunfire BCM, and wire up a proper ETS off switch.
ok am i a moron for not knowing what ets is?
enhanced traction control, GM's lovely little traction control, which is weird that my cavalier has ENHANCED traction control but my trans am has just plain Tracion Control System =P
