MTX 6500D or Infinity 7540a

Need some advice. I recently had some problems with my mtx 6500D. Took it in for repair and they said a new board was needed they want about $220 canadian to put a new board in from mtx. My other option is an infinity 7540a used that someones has ofered me (in good condition works perfect) for about same price. The amps running 2 mtx 10's, 250 Wats rms each. I know the infinity is a 4 channel but was going to bridge it, apparently it puts out 278 watts x 2 bridged @ 4 ohms. The Mtx putts out just over 500 watts x 1 when running at 2 ohms. Is it worth it to get an amp fixed. Is putting a new board in just like a new amp? Any advice would be appreciated.

one would think replacing the board would be like buying a brand new amp. But it also looks like the infinity amp puts out more power... so I'd say, IMO, get the infinity, especially if the guy's offerin it to ya for less than the new board. Your choice really, the infinity would only put out 50 watts more than the MTX
