i'm bout to put in my girl's deck. i have a 2004 cavalier and i know that i needed to get a special wire harness for it. is it necessary to have the same wire harness for her car? and if so, does the old deck need to be mounted in the trunk of her car like i needed to do with the deck in my car?
Yes it will use the same harness as your but you don't need to put it in the trunk on yours or hers. The only thing you lose is the door chime and to me, I like it better gone.
