Thanks for putting up with my last 3 posts about my speaker ordeal......
I decided that after 4 years, my 4x6 infinitys need to be put to rest and new speakers will be bought.
I got quoted at 350 (installed) for eclipse sc8355 ......componenet 5 1/4 speakers........are eclipse worth the extra money or would Polk or Alpine be a better bet?

they are nice but you can pick up a set of cdt audio 61/2's that are better then the other brands you named for under $200 bucks. just get a amp for them and put them in your doors and your be set
I used to have alpine type R's. I recently switched to Boston Acoustics. I love em. Both were 6 1/2 components. The R's wouldn't fit into my Q-forms for the front kick panels. I'm loving the Boston Acoustics tho.
I would go with the Alpines over eclipse. I'm a firm believe that anything with eclipse written on it is way over priced. Ever since they became popular the price went thru the roof.

Yup, like sweetnloud said. CDT! You can pick up some CDT EF-61 at the cdtstore on ebay, for 150$.
They rock.
Trust me.
If you didn't know what true SQ and astonishing imagine was, now you'll do.
If youre gonna get components...you're probably gonna want to get an amp for them too and get your moneys worth out of them.
I forgot to add................i already ahve 2 12 inch subs, a 200w amp (for the front speakers) , a capacitor, head unit and all that.............these speakers would jsut be swapped out with the crapped out infinitys

The Polk Momo MMC6500 components are AMAZEING. They are the best component set for the money. I would def go that route. I miss mine SOOOOOOOO much.
