Well, I'm gonna finish installing my system this week, and was just wondering what songs you guys like to use to test out your system. Thanks.

I usually use Bass Meckanik, but I'm an SPL junkie. To test out the entire frequency range, I don't really know any off-hand.
The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.

I tend to use a variety of songs... some heavy on bass, some heavy on vocals, some heavy on instrumentals, as well as a silence track to test for noise and a few tracks with a single tone on them for crossover tuning.

Anything by 30 seconds to mars, their music has all sorts of awesome sounds in the tracks, deep bass, and everything really flows. Try and get their first self titled album, its great.

no but seriously.......Get Low by Lil Jon & Eastside boys + Ying Yang.....its got some deep bass and some weird little water drop sounds...and plus it'll shakes the @!#$ outta my rear deck and i realized i needed to box my 6x9's....so listen for that

I've used Metallica - One to test out a few systems, because the original master was tape, the bass on it is tremendous.

Agreed. Also try anything instrumental by Rob Dougan. He did a lot of stuff for the Matrix soundtracks. Try Chateau, Clubbed To Death, Furious Angels.

i've got a few trusted tracks.
i start out with bass and work my way up a bit trying to get a good low rumble to get the gains right then i work on the crossovers so my song list usually starts out
1.late nite tip- 3 6 mafia
2. Maria- Blondie ( from there last album) its got a good music mix and the vocals are awsome for tuning the mids and highs
3. Pull me under- Dream theater, another great all in one mix it has good bass, technical notes and passages, singing guitar leads that extend up very high and great vocals.
4. anything from fear factory to test my bass response as they have some very fast kick drum parts, usually i listen to linch pin
5. the black album-metallica, or st anger from metallica. alot of punch and energy
i also have a few bass mekaniks cds that are nice and a test tone cd that starts at 30hz and goes up to 160 hz and has a sweep from 40 hz to 80hz these are very hand for testing certain things and finding your peak on your system.
