just like the topic says whos done it before if not who thinks it can be done.
i did it on a ranger with a 300 amp alternator from a dumptruck. im sure it can be done but its goin to be fun makin all the brakets.
if you do go with 2 alts i know someone that has alot of 8 volts he wants to get rid off cheep
ive got a large case gm in there now and want another one. since im not trading my car in its time to go bigger. dual mts with .35 coils and four 2500ds. gonna need lots of current for them.
dude the stock alt will work just fine
i bet u could do it with the second alt lower and in front of the stock location....the hardest part would be making bulletproof mount plates. oh and for anybody wondering he has a 2.2 OHV engine with the alt on the "top" unlike my eco...damn heart of the engine alts.........
p.s. can't wait to see pics of the MT's installed
you may have to wait a bit longer. taxes are coming but the girlfriend wants to take a tropical vacation. thats another 1300 bucks. thats my mts and another 2500d. grrrr.
Nate, tell your girlfriend that I said she can wait for her vacation. I think you need your MT's.

The system has arrived.
ill tell her what you guys said. i dont think shes buying it though. the only think i dont know is if i want dual .35s and run four for competition or get dual .7s and run four for daily use. I dont get a lot of time to compete and im not sure if they can handle over 5kw for daily. survey says?
dual sounds interesting.....but i'd find it a royal PITA to try to get it to work right. if anything, maybe remove the a/c compressor and place it there.
