ok I love music.. and I want to blast it. right now i'm all stock and the music isn't NEARLY as loud as i want it to be.. obviously. ;b

I am on a budget.. To start out with i'd spend about $300.

what's the first thing I should get?

lol thats the best advice I could give too, however, I bought a pair of cheap-@$$ jensen 10" subs from wal-mart for $30 each (450w peak) running on a little 160w @ 2 ohm RMS kenwood amp. Sounds pretty good, can hear it about 1/2 block away, not as good as my old setup (1200w w/ 2 1000w 6 ohm DVC subs)

i would suggest adding some bass first. get an amp and a sub and run it off what you have now.

well. got me a pioneer head unit from circuit city. the whole thing plus installation put me down $330.

i'm very impressed with the sound so far! ;p

Well first, learn to install things yourself. You will save a lot of money.
