Is there a way to use the auxiliary output of my car alarm/remote start system to start the rear window defrost circuit timer(when you push the button)?

Yep, just wire it up to the channel 2 output, you may need to use a relay like I did on my Blazer if the cicruit draws too much current or if the you need to reverse the polarity.
