Exactly the reason I dont let anybody but me touch my stero stuff.
yeah i do all my work but my wife thought she was helping me out cause i was busy with work and didn't have the time to do so she took it to them. what is a good alpine model to look at.
Damn, CC screwed me as well. Their install of my XM Pioneer never did work, so I'm getting Tweeter to remove all of it and reinstall the same stuff the correct way. I did not even allow CC to take their old stuff out, I'm bringing it to them in a box and getting a 100% refund.
I think the problem there is the same day install guarantee. You can buy an HU at 4 o'clock and get it done that day. No way you can give good install service like that.
I've had great success with alpine/clarion, had bad experiences with jvc, and ok expeirences with pioneer. Thats just my experiences tho, try looking into an alpine or clarion, whats your price range?

Depends on the store whether they are giving you good service or not. On something like a deck that takes at most a half hour to do, it's simple to install it that day. Bigger projects normally get scheduled for another day.

::sigh:: I work at circuit city (not the roadshop) and it's a freakin' nightmare to get my car worked on there...
it took them almost 3 months to complete a car alarm install...
